01. Our Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the Nigeria-US IT Network Inc. (“NIGUSIT,” “the Network,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) website, membership services, educational programs, events, communications, and related resources. By accessing the website, submitting a membership application, registering for a program, or using any NIGUSIT service, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.

  • You must use NIGUSIT services only for lawful and appropriate purposes.
  • You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when submitting forms or applications..
  • You may not interfere with the website, attempt unauthorized access, or misuse Network resources.
  • Participation in NIGUSIT programs must be consistent with the organization’s mission and professional standards.

NIGUSIT operates to promote information technology education, professional networking, career development, entrepreneurship, and collaboration among IT professionals and members of the wider community.

02. Membership and Participation

Membership eligibility, admission, responsibilities, dues, voting rights, leadership participation, and other membership matters are governed by the NIGUSIT Constitution, bylaws, policies, and decisions of the Board of Governors. Submission of an application does not guarantee membership approval. NIGUSIT may request additional information, verify eligibility, or decline an application when appropriate.

Members and participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally, respectfully, and in a manner that supports the mission and reputation of the Network. Membership may be suspended, restricted, or terminated for nonpayment of dues, misconduct, misuse of organizational resources, violation of policies, or conduct that may harm NIGUSIT, its members, partners, or programs.

03. Programs, Events, and Payments

NIGUSIT may offer webinars, conferences, mentorship programs, networking sessions, training events, youth programs, career-development activities, and other educational initiatives. Program schedules, speakers, locations, formats, eligibility requirements, and content may be changed when necessary.

Membership dues, registration fees, sponsorship payments, donations, and other charges must be paid through the approved payment methods. Unless otherwise stated, payments are nonrefundable after a service, event, or membership period has begun. NIGUSIT may cancel, postpone, or reschedule an event because of low enrollment, speaker availability, safety concerns, technology failures, weather, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

04. Intellectual Property and Acceptable Use

All website content, logos, graphics, photographs, videos, training materials, documents, event recordings, publications, and other materials made available by NIGUSIT are owned by or licensed to the Network unless otherwise identified. These materials may be used for personal, educational, and noncommercial purposes only.

You may not reproduce, publish, sell, modify, distribute, display, record, or create derivative works from NIGUSIT content without prior written permission. You may not use the NIGUSIT name, logo, brand, membership status, or event materials in a manner that suggests unauthorized sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, or representation.

05. Changes to the Terms

NIGUSIT may revise these Terms and Conditions to reflect changes in its website, programs, membership structure, legal obligations, technology, or organizational practices. Updated Terms will be posted on the website with a revised effective date.

Your continued use of the website or NIGUSIT services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Significant changes may also be communicated through email, membership notices, event announcements, or other appropriate channels. These Terms should be read together with the NIGUSIT Privacy Policy, Constitution, bylaws, membership policies, event rules, and any additional terms presented during registration.

06. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

NIGUSIT provides educational, networking, career-development, and informational resources for general purposes. We do not guarantee employment, certification, business contracts, investment results, professional advancement, immigration outcomes, or any other specific result from participation in our programs or use of our website.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NIGUSIT is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from website use, event participation, third-party services, external links, volunteer activities, or reliance on information provided through the Network. Participants remain responsible for their own decisions, professional conduct, personal property, technology, transportation, and safety.
